语篇教学的整体性

——岔路小学2019-2010(1)四年级英语备课组备课活动

一、情况概述

2019年12月11日,岔路学校四年级英语备课组进行了一次集体备课活动。卜厚艳老师执教了一节英语小教研课Unit 7How much?课后本年级组教师针对如何进行语篇教学以及如何体现语篇教学的整体性对本节课进行了研讨。

二、活动方案

3.活动主题

 英语教材每个单元的第一个板块story time都是一个完整的语篇,三四年级以对话为主,教师在教学过程中要思考教学方法如何体现语篇教学的整体性,不要将语言知识单独分裂开来。

4.活动目的

利用本次教研活动的机会,探讨如何进行对话的整体教学,组织本组教师开展研讨,学习本节课的研讨方法,并运用到自己的教学实践中去。

5.活动步骤

①组长提前一天发教研活动通知,本组教师提前备课。

卜厚艳老师在四(9)班执教Unit 7 How much?,四年级英语教师听课学习。

③课后进行教学研讨,每位教师整理自己的想法依次发言。

三、研讨评价

周丹丹:虽然是公开课,除了追求设计与形式,更重要的是如何将课上的扎实,使学生掌握的牢固,不能仅为了追求形式而忽略内容。story time第一课时的教学重在理解语篇,朗读课文,重点句型进行简单渗透,并不需要着重讲解语法与单词拼写。整节课的设计要把握课堂的情境性,从pre-reading的活动开始就要紧扣课文的情境,然后进入课文,最后的产出活动也不能脱离情境,另外在活动设计上要尽量贴近学生生活,体现语言的运用性。

陈刚:单词教学既可以放在pre-reading环节也可以放在while-reading环节,要将单词与句型的教学衔接的自然,不能生硬的教单词,要在情境中自然的教单词,第一课时只要求发音准确和正确的理解意思。四年级while-reading教学,任务不宜设置的太多,两轮足够,最多不要超过三轮,任务要具有层次性,而不要忽高忽低,从而有步骤的训练学生的思维,让学生整节课都跟着教师的思路在走。

茆心怡:若希望学生在最后的产出活动中能创造性的多说一些语言,那么教师就需要在之前进行铺垫,在这方面教师这做得很好,比方说在买东西时除了教“How much is it? It’s...”和“How much are they? They are...”这两个重点句型外,还可以拓展讨价还价的句型“What about...yuan?” “All right, here you are.”等,使得学生的语言更丰富,能够更好地将英语用于生活中。

1、能够会读:an umbrella, shoes, socks等实物类单词,会读:twentythirty等整数类单词。

2、能够运用How much is it?It’s...yuan. How much are they? They’re ...yuan.来询问并正确回答物品价格。

3、能够充分理解Story time内容并表演。

4、能够尽己所能捐献自己的爱心,学会帮助他人。

五、教学过程

Step1 Warm up

1.Greetings

T:Hello,boys and girls. I’m very happy to be your new English teacher today. First, let’s watch a video.

2.Enjoy a song

T:The song is about the price. So today we will learn Unit 7 How much?

3.Fun time 

T: First, let’s say numbers. One to ten. Well done. Eleven to nineteen. Well done. One, three, five, seven, nine, eleven, thirteen. Well done. Twelve, fourteen, sixteen, eighteen, twenty. (强调twenty) Can you go on? Twenty-one, twenty-two,twenty-eight, twenty-nine. Well done.

 

Step2 Presentation

1.Talk time

T: You can say numbers very well. What about the price? Here is a shopping list. Let’s say the price first. This is a basketball. How much is it? It’s nine yuan. What about this jacket? It’s twenty yuan. How about the hamburger? It’s eight yuan. What are these? They’re pencils. So we should ask how much are they? They’re four yuan. So if we ask the price of more than one thing, we should ask how much are they. They’re... yuan. For example, how can we ask? How much are they? They’re twenty-eight yuan. What about the hot dogs? How much are they? They’re twelve yuan. Let’s ask and answer in pairs. 

2. Story time 

T: We are having an English lesson. What about Su Hai and Su Yang? What are they doing? They’re having a charity sale. It means donate things to the people in need. So what do they donate or what’s on the table? It’s a box, an umbrella, a fan, socks and shoes. Who is the buyer? Let’s watch and find.

 

Step3 Practice

1. Watch and find

T: Who is the buyer?

S: Liu Tao, Yang Ling and Mike. 

2. Read and find

T: What do they buy and how much? Let’s read and find. Try to complete this table.

T: what does Liu Tao buy? Shoes. What dose Yang Ling buy? Socks. What about Mike? An umbrella. How much are the shoes? They’re five yuan. How much are the socks? They’re four yuan. How much is the umbrella? It’s nineteen yuan. All these are twenty-eight yuan. So Su Hai and Su Yang say we have twenty-eight yuan.

3. Read and say

T: How do they sell and buy? Look at these pictures. Look at the picture 1, how do Su Hai and Su Yang sell? What do they say? Can I help you? How dose Liu Tao buy? How does he answer? I’d like these shoes. Picture 2 what dose Lang Ying say? These socks are very nice. This umbrella is cool. What do Su Hai and Su Yang say? It’s only nineteen yuan.  Picture 4 we have twenty-eight yuan, Miss Li. Well done.

4. Emotion education

T: Su Hai and Su Yang collect twenty-eight yuan. Look at their face. Are they happy? 

Ss: Yes.

T: So helping others is happy! We should help others.

Step 4 Production

T: Let’s have a charity sale. Let’s sale clothes. Here is the rule. Six students a group. Two are sellers. Using what you have learned in the class to make a new dialogue. After that, you should tell me how much money you have collected. Understand? Here is an example.

五、教学反思

首先,Story time是语篇教学,因此一定要有情境。课本中就提供了很好的情境:义卖。我应该利用学校以往组织过的义卖活动来进行导入,过渡到课文的义卖,在进行义卖的拓展。这样第一课时的主线就很明确,义卖这一情境也贯穿始终。

其次,第一课时的单词教学不能以拼读为主,但是也不能不读,那就可以采用音节教授法,例如本课中的umbrella是学生最难读的单词,教师可以采用“um”“bre”“lla”这样以音节为单位拆分单词的形式教授读法,而非拼读u-m-b-r-e-l-l-a。

还有就是板书的设计,Story time的板书设计要充分体现文章脉络,要能让学生看着板书复述文本内容,而非简单的将文中的重点句型“How much is it?”“It’s ... yuan.”“How much are they?”“They’re ... yuan.”进行板书,这样就感觉是在进行语法教学。

最后,我可以将处理人物是如何进行义卖的环节放置在学生会朗读的基础之上。学生只有会读,才能回答教师卖者如何招到顾客,顾客如何询价之类的问题,并在此基础上进行拓展,问学生除了书上的句子外,你还可以使用哪些语句。这样既唤起学生的旧知,就为下面的拓展义卖衣物做了很好的铺垫。
